Did you know that thoughtfully designed shelter spaces significantly reduce stress and illness for rescued dogs and cats? After weather and conflict damage cut capacity, Global Animal Aid funded urgent repairs and essential supplies so animals could return to safe, humane housing.

When the shelter in Kyiv was damaged, dozens of rescued animals suddenly lost their safe space. Broken roofs, shattered windows, and flooded kennels forced them into temporary crates, raising stress and illness.
Global Animal Aid stepped in to restore safety and capacity. The team replaced roofs and windows, improved insulation and drainage, and refurbished kennels with clean, washable surfaces. A small quarantine zone was also added to help sick or newly rescued animals recover safely.
We supplied food, sanitation materials, and simple comfort items so care could resume immediately. Together with local staff, the project became more than repair — it was a sign of resilience and hope.
Now the shelter is stronger, cleaner, and ready to continue its mission — giving every animal in its care a chance to heal and feel safe again.
Warm, dry, ventilated spaces — weatherproofing and airflow cut dampness and drafts.
Quarantine & hygiene — isolation and easy‑clean surfaces improved disease control.
Capacity restored — humane kennels back online with calmer housing and faster cleaning.

“We moved from emergency crates to quiet rooms. You could see the animals relax within hours.”

Every donation goes directly to rescuing animals, providing medical care, shelter, and food. With your help, we can give them hope and a future.
